Father's Day Reflections

ree

Today is Father’s Day, and I wasn’t expecting much—but it turned out pretty special. I received one of the nicest Father’s Day gifts a guy could ask for: one of my sons came to church with me. He joined us for our early class with our wonderful group of friends, and then stayed for the full church service. It was his first time joining us, and it meant the world to share our Sunday morning routine with him.

Back in my younger days, Father’s Day was full of action—hiking, biking, or kayaking. That was fun, but this was something deeper. Just being together, quietly sharing the morning.

Sometimes the deepest connections are found not in doing, but simply in being together—and moments like these remind me of what truly matters.
